• i grabbed the latest from cvs earlier this evening and rebuilt.

if i start a song and press the menu key on the remote to get back to the home screen, xbmc will crash. *this happens on any song, whether there is an album thumbnail or not. *the log is as follows:

  • a cvs update will just download the changes that have been made. it's identical to redownloading everything, but goes about 10000 times faster.

you should always run cvs update rather than doing a fresh checkout - even just so that sf's bandwidth bill is kept to a minimum.

  • do you have up to date visualisations, and are you using the cvs version of pm3?

this works fine at my end.
marshal, what is the recommended method for getting stuff out of cvs to do the compiles? i have noticed if you do an update only (if you previously downloaded eveyrthing form cvs may not work properly.

if you do a full download, the final compiled product works perfectly. why is htat and what method (programs) you recommend to rettrieve the files form the cvs repository correctly....

  •

updating the visualizations fixed it. *thanks jmarshall. *i thought i had updated everything, but apparently not. *my skins were up-to-date.

marshal i had an issue 2 days ago in which i did the update and the option to enable and disable sounds in seetins appearance menu was not available. it was available only when i did the full download....

it could be somethign about the the cvs command that i'm usign although i do not think so...

this is the command that i use:

    "%cvs%" -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous:@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xbmc checkout xbmc
